Here's a little 3d valentine's day animation that tries to mimic the stop motion / claymation look and feel. The colour choices were inspired by the typical science book blood vessel illustrations, portraying Arteries in red and Veins in blue.
The blood itself was simulated in RealFlow for Cinema4D and of course the sound effects are by yours truly.
I used a work in progress playdough textures I've been working on in substance designer. Here's how it looks on some simple primitives:
The shader itself comprises of a Height Map using a distorted noise, mixed in with some dents and subtle fingerprints for the Normal Map, which seems to be too subtle on the current renders. More tweaking is required.
